Does adding performance parts (Intake system, Cat-back, TBs)and things like relocating the IAT null your warrenty? Or does anyone out there Know. Seems like it would, so I was wanting to find out prior to Modding my truck. Or do you have to use only MOPAR parts? Any ideas?

i checked with my dealer and you need to find someone who is not a tight ass.i went to several dealers and found one that would let my muffler go,and overlooked my iat re-locate.be carfull though.be prepared to put your old stuff on if there is a major problem.they are all very sticky.according to most dealers all it takes is a muffler change and tire change(bigger)and your entire powertrain warranty is void.

the larger then stock tires I put on my Dak did not void the powertrain warrenty when the front U-joint went out. The dealer replaced it without question.

Chrysler tried screwing me over their bad breaks, they went out about seven thousand (the entire system) and they said it was my fault because I didn't bring it to them before it happened. I had no warning, I was driving and just couldn't stop.

I think they have the burden of proof in the matter. IN other words, they have to be able to prove that your mod broke something.

Check out the link Dan posted above, it tells you whats up. But even if they don't have a legal leg to stand on, the Dealer is going to try and get out of fixing something. Best bet is to go prepared (take a printout of the law with ya and show it to them), or mention it... or just hope you have a cool dealer like I did.

My closest deal is an ass about mods. I am no longer aloud on their property. I call a dealer 25 miles away from me. Told them what I had done, and whats wrong, they said to bring it in and it would be fixed no questions asked. Just try to find your nicest repair shop to take it too.
