I was going to do the TPS mod to help the sluggish acceleration, but when i put the volt meter on it, it was at .7 volts exactly. Does anyone know of any other tricks that would help my bad acceleration? All help is appreciated.

Tune up, Relocate IAT, muffler, slipping clutch, or clutch plates in a automatic. What other mods do you have??

Right now all i have is a dynomax exhaust and a k&n filter(just the filter, not the FIPK.)I just got done putting a tune up on it(cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and a PCV valve.)I think I am going to go with some 3923 plugs, and some bigger wires. I have 7mm right now.

I guess just a better intake system, and relocate the IAT when you do that. Otherwise it should be fairly responsive.

The TPS check will help your throttle response, it won't help your acceleration. Only $$$ will do that.

pistolero,
Don't you think if i were to have a beter throttle response, it would help my acceleration

Just a thought, Try restricting you exhust a little. You might need some backpressure. And yes, the IAT relocation is a must.

Neil, I think I know where you're going, but the purpose of the TPS adjustment as I understand it is to eliminate the lag time between movement of the throttle cable and engine response...thereby creating movement of the truck. If you're stepping on the gas, and then have to wait a second or two to feel the truck move, the TPS is a good thing to check. How quickly the engine responds to throttle cable movement is throttle response. How quickly the truck accelerates once the engine responds to throttle cable movement is a result of many factors, like how much you have your foot in it, how much torque and horsepower the engine produces, where it comes on in the powerband, and what kind of gearing the truck has.

Neil,

If you are at .7 V already don't tweak it anymore. If you do you will get a MIL ( check engine light) and your performance won't be helped anyway.
