I modded (no more horns) my v6 tb while I super cleaned it this weekend. I noticed a "slight" change. If I mod the V8 one the same will that be to much for my engine, or will it still help. I can't belive the size difference of the ports. Other then all the damn writing in yellow on the thing, it looks nice :)

I ground the horns of my V8 TB before i put it on. It idles rough (kinda like a muscle car), but when you take off and get it up past 3,000 RPMS it takes off like a bat out of hell.

Is it hard to do this? Can I get a TB off a 318 at the junkyard and simply replace mine?

ugh, the horns around the ports, kinda like a crown I guess you could call it. Yes a 318 tb off a pre 95 for you, and get the throttle cable also. Their is also some other slight mod you have to do, their is a guy on here that has an old dak like you, and he has done it.

92Dak,
Any will work but there was an issue with the double fuel rail design only on the 92's.
I understand you will need to do some grinding on the bottom edge of the throttle lever to clear.
If no one else gives you any better advice than this let me know and I will scan the article and email it to you.
