 Subject: Synthetic Tranny Oil ???

I would appreciate some help on my Tranny. I have an 1988 Dak 3.9 with a 5 speed tranny. A couple of weeks ago I changed the trans. oil out and replaced it with penzoil full synthetic 10w-30 engine oil. It called for 10w-30 engine oil so I thought I would go with the synthetic stuff. Now every once in a while I will get the trans temp light to flash on but it only comes on for a milli sec. so fast you cant even read it I had to look in the book to see what the light was. Can anyone tell me if this was a good idea on the synthetic or should I change it out to something else?
