when i bought my dak they told me never to run anything but regular unleaded gas,so would it be allright to run a octane booster,or is it bad for the engine?

i use to put in octane boosters about once a month...my cat got clogged and the guy at my muffler shop told me putting in octane boosters and some of the other engine cleaner stuff too much will ushally make the O2 sensors go bad and clog the cat. but i have ran 93 octane since i got my V8 TB b/c it didnt seem to run right....after i put the 93 in it ran perfect

What about fuel system and fuel injector cleaners, are they harmful to our dakotas?
