I noticed in your profile a dynomax 17748. How loud is that, and do you have it dumped, or ran out the back, in one, dual outs? or in one, out one?? Thanks

The 17748 is not very loud in cab or out it gives a nice rumble. I had the 17733 it's a shorter muffler (14") but got an anoying buzz at about 1500-2000 rpm so I changed it to the 17748 (20")
I just replaced the factory muffler and used the stock tail pipe, went to AutoZone and got a short piece of 2.5" to splice it in.

Great, thats what I'm looking for, my flowmaster with dual dumps is soooo damn loud I cant hear my radio. I want it mild loud, with a rumble. Did you get it from summit?? Thanks for letting me know!!!!

Yea Summit.....I like that name, it's like your standing at the Summit of a great mountain of parts to add to your truck hehehehe.......

Dan, how tough was it to get the stock muffler off? Did you have to cut it off? I'm thinking of putting on the stainless version, or maybe the Magnaflow.

After wasting 3 hrs trying to save it, out came the sawsall and had it off in about 10 min. Those boys from Dodge crimped that thing on there so tight !

Got a question again, wsa your stock pipe 3" or 2.5" or what?? I am fixing to place a HUGE order with summit for multiple parts on all 3 or my rides. I would rather not step it down from 3" to 2.5" if possible. Thanks

Stock is 2.5" OD
A 2.5" ID muffler will slide over this size pipe.
Tubing is sold by OD and mufflers are sold by ID
