 Subject: 98 Dakota 4x4 Steering wheel squeaks

Steering wheel when I turn squeaks and also automatic shift on column squeaks when I shift, this is the same sound.
Any help would be appreciated to alleviate this annoying noise

There are technical service bulletins on the steering wheel squeak for the Dakota on this board and at alldata.com I saw one under the '99 Dakota, No. 19-04-00 - Steering Column, Squeaking/Creaking Noise. You might check your
upeer ball joint as well.

Squeak seems to be from column TSB 19-04-00 is for steering wheels without tilt, I have tilt.
Dealer tells me they think it is biit over column by firewall??
