Stands for Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Senses the temp. of the air in your intake and sends a signal to your PCM which then adjusts fuel mixture (richness) and adjusts timing.

I have an optima performance module I need to install. I am having trouble finding good installation tips. I need to locate the IAT sensor as a starting point. Any help out there?

Look in the front of the TB and slightly to the passenger side(on the manifold). It screwed directly into the manifld

Can you tell me where the iat sensor is located on a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 318 v8 truck. Is it close to the throddle body or is it in the intake manifold?

the iat sensor broke when removing and part of it fell down inside the intake.is there a simple solution to removing broken peices or do i have to remove intake? what will happen if the engine is run without removing broken pieces?

Please someone help!!! I'm killing myself looking for this damn
thing. 88 Dakota 3.9 6cyl. I've looked everywhere people have
said it might be but to no success. The only brass fitting with 2
wires anywhere near the intake manifold is the coolant temp
sensor.
