I got an MSD blaster 2 coil part #8203 for a birthday gift today. Can anybody tell me if this coil will work on a 98 V6? Is it an easy install or what? I'd like to get the new Dodge direct replacement MSD coil, but nobody seems to have it in stock yet. Thanks for any info offered.

it will work if it came with the adapter for the spark plug wire to fit on it.

What about mounting?,do I need to get a bracket or what?Yes it has the plug wire adapter,I guess I could make up my own wiring harness adapter.

you will need a bracket to mount it also. Most auto part store carry them.

Intensedak, you wouldn't by any chance know which wire is which as far as positive / negative would you? My manual's wiring diagrams aren't to clear on that part. Thanks

are you referring to the stock wires coming from the harness?

the green/orange wire in the harness should connect to the positive side of the coil and the black/gray to the negative

easiest way to tell is..... truck will only work one way

hehehe..... why are you doing a coil over kit?

the only reason i did mine was for the ladder bars and i dont like bags. The ladder bars are what helped me the most

Damn that was a fast reply!!

I have tried a couple of sets of leafs now and cannot stand how soft they all are so I am eventually going coil over because I have worked with em and know they have the ride and adjustment I am lookin for.

Like my satellite dish bracket holdin the Accel?
