my question is are the sensors from the v8 tb the same as the v6? like the tps sensor? can i just leave them on and plug them in?

Im attempting the swap as we speak. i just checked out the numbers on them and the tps # is slightly different. Was hopping i could use that one to drill out brass inserts to do the tps mod

Cause its a V8 TB does that mean i use the V8 sensors? Im pretty sure ive heard people say that they just use there V6 sensors. Also can you do the TPS mod with a V8 TB?

I ordered my V8 TB from the dealer and it came with the TPS & IAC already mounted on the TB, all I had to ad was the MAP sensor from my V6 TB.

I've look at my Haynes Manual and it makes no indication that the sensors are different for V6 & V8 only the 2.5 has different part #'s

Make sure you reset the computer and don't touch the gas when you do, It may take your truck 2-300 miles to idle and run normal so don't get discouraged.

Now Go get that TB on .....................

I wouldn't worry about the TPS mod yet just get the TB working, You need a Digital volt meter to check it and do it right mine was at .73 v and I tried to raise it to .76 and the truck didn't run right so I had to put it back.

I have better luck if I just do one mod at a time

You did get a V8 TB Cable for a Dakota ?????

just got it off. checkin the numbers with the V6 sensors and they are slightly different. so u think i should just use my V6 iac and rest V8 sensors?
