Just out of curiosity, how hard would it be to replace my auto tranny with a 5 speed? And what would the approximate cost be. I have a 3.9 V-6. I drove my friends that has the manual, and damn, what a difference. Thanks for any/all replies.

If you go to that much trouble, why don't you get a little crazy and drop in a Hemi? Apparantly, from the people I asked in the past, setting up everything that is involved is not worth the hassle. Personally, I think if you spank someone, and they see you have not only a V6 but an auto, they'll crap their pants and run home to get on chevys10.com or whatever to post "Just got spanked by a V6 auto Dodge :( ". Sometimes I wish I too had a 5 speed again, but the benefits of the auto seem to outway the added performance of the 5 speed. For me anyways.

I got the 3.9 Auto and I love spanking the hell outta them S-10 eXtremes and letting them hear me hit second gear scratch. Then they usually ask me if I got a 318 or 360 and I tell them it's an automatic V-6. Sometimes I have to open the hood to prove it to them. :)
