I have recenetly had my dak in and out of
the shop. This time its was in there
because of the rpms would get stuck
at 3k when put in park or rev'd in neutral.

I was throwing a check engine code of 0121
which is the tps sensor. Just had a new
one put in about a month ago. The computer
scan showed that the tps voltage was
no agreeing with the map/fuel sensor(black sensor
in front of tb). They replaced that and the tps
as well as the IAC. That seemed to fix the rpm problem.

But they didn't like the iat adjuster at all.
They said it was screwing with the computer
kinda like a virus so to speak.

They said it was allowing to much air into
the engine without stepin up the fuel ratio.

So they disconected the quick connectors
and used them to conect it straight back
to the computer, and told me to let it run
with out it.

I am also having trouble with the transmission
not getting second gear. IT has been rebuilt
twice now. They swear up and down that it is
a electronic computer contoller problem.

In short, although i was stoked to find
out that the iat adjuster works!, they
discourgerd me not to use it.

Bernd, any wisdom on this? I was really
pissed to hear them say those things.
I like it and plan on still using it.
But i have an apointment with them
saturday to try to correct this tranny
problem

sorry for the book......

now you know thats..................

(1) The IAT sensor has NOTHING to do with the amount of air coming into the engine (it only senses temperature)
(2) It won't mess up the engine (they need to learn about the system a bit more - look a the Vipers - IAT is in the intake...not the manifold - same PCM parameters though.)
(3) On the transmission problem...have they even changed out the sensors to the superceded/updates parts yet?

If they have an issue with the IAT Adjuster...have them call me direct: (512) 989-9634 - 9am-6pm CST.
