To Chris with the original post of Oil in the Air Cleaner.

I believe that you may have a worn out plenum gasket. It is located on the underside of the intake manifold but here is an easy way to check.

First, Pull off your air hat. (The air box directly above the throttle body.)
Look down inside the throttle body and check for any pooling oil. It is normal to have a thin coating inside, but no pools. If there is exessive oil then the second step may not be required and is probably safe to assume your plenum is bad.

Second, pull the PVC valve out of the valve cover (Passenger Sdie) and leave it attached to the hose. Also, Pull out the vacuum hose on the driverside valve cover. Place your fingers over the hose and the pcv valve. If you have positive pressure (blows) your plenum is good and there is another problem leading to the oil in your air cleaner. If you have negative pressure (sucks) your plenum is bad and is most likely your oil problem.

I had a similar problem with my Dakota. I checked the PCV valves and had good pressure. I went ahead and changed all the intake manifold gaskets anyways and the plenum gasket, and guess what, the plenum gasket was bad. Just because you have pressure when you check the PCV valves doesnt necessarily mean your plenum gasket is good.
