I finally found out that the Comando heads from MP will work to corectly align the serpentine belt system on a premag V8 so I took a 360 block to the machine shop the other day for magnufluxing and cleaning up.
Providing it checks out and I can find the time I will be doing a 408 stroker for my V6 Dak.
I cant give you any real time frame but I will want to get rid of my V6 mag at that point.
I bought it in 97 with 16k on it from a local junkyard. Only drive the Dak for fun and dump runs so it dosent have many miles on it.
I have to admit I do run it pretty hard when I do drive it and I have had nitrous on it for a few months now.
She runs great and it has had Mobil 1 in it always.

Watch EBAY, there is a guy in california who sells complete engines on there. They are still in the vehicles until they are sold, so you can hear them run, and they are complete with injection, alt, ac comp, wiring harness, EVERYTHING.
If memory serves me correctly the last one I saw was a '97 V6 with a 5 speed, with fairly low miles?? for $800.00
Not bad if you ask me.

what are ya looking for in an engine? I have a 96 3.9l with 120k on it that runs good..just has some timing chain noise. Where are ya located? Actually still in the truck currently, could hear run.

yeah. i kind oh like the whole late model that is intact and running part of my truck. dont think im gonna rip out the engine anytime soon.
