Message:
I have wanting to swap my TB out since this seems to be the best thing, however I am wanting to make sure I get the right one. I am wondering where the part # is on these, and what the bore size is for the part # since if I get to big of one it will kill my low tourqe. And if my dak happen to come stock with a 46mm, I see no point in spending the cash to bump up to a 48mm. So could yall state your part# and bore for me. And atleast one person post where its at on these. Also all this to speed them up, anyone got ideas on how to slow them down, my braking SUCKS on mine. Thanks

I can't speak for the V-6 guys but I went from that 48mm that is for sale on ebay to my flowmetrics 50mm (5.9L) and it made a noticable difference. The V-8 guys are only going up 2mm and they are getting consistent 20hp increases.

Does 12r15044b sound like a tb part number?? Being it is 44mm bore??? I measured it with tape measure and eye and it is about 1.5" bore.

Unless you're running a supercharger on your v6 you don't want to go larger than 48mm. Anything more will suck in too much air.

The least expensive route is to slap a v8 TB on. I don't know of any part number off hand, but they're all the same. Even the ones off R/T's. You see an occasional one on eBay or in various classified sections and they usually go for $50 - $100.

If you're willing to spend more money and increase the airflow to optimal input (for naturally aspirated v6's) go with a FloMetrics 48mm billet TB.

Thats what it is supposed to be it's hard to measure it with a caliper there is a TQ step in the bore.

Made a big differance in my truck, about 300 miles after I put it on I could break the tires loose with my auto & 3.55 gears

Got Crower 1.7 RR now, only got about 80 miles on them but I think they are going to make a nice addition in the TQ department.

$ 370 for the RR and about $16 for FelPro Gaskets

Can't say at this time about the MPG only got less thay 100 miles on them will up date later, but the gas gauge is in line with stock so i don't see any majior diff.

I was thinking the V6's had the 42-43mm bore. Cuz I know when I did my swap there was a noticable difference in the size of the bores.
