Today my buddy wanted me to burn out at this local car park place and i usually dont want to but i figured what the hell, we'll see if this v6 can spin em. So i revved it to like 2500 and dropped the clutch and they spun for like 5 seconds! I was impressed (considering the v6)

totally owe it all to the 5 speed though. im sure an auto 6 couldnt do it.

I don't know what's more fun ... the smell of the burning rubber ... the cloud of white smoke ... or the awestruck looks of bystanders :-)

Here's what my v6 5spd did at Foxwoods 2001 :-) (Thanks for the pic Walt)

I used to have one wheel drive in my Dak, but I had a posi unit installed the same time the 3:90 gears went in. Makes all the difference in the world with traction.

No problems with the pic and thank you for asking :-) If you don't like the bevel, I can clean it up some like the one below.

That would be great without the bevel Chuck, and thanks. About the gears, if you don't mind me askin, how much was it to get them installed with the posi??

The installation of the gears and posi cost basically an arm and a leg compared to some of the prices I've heard. Labor alone was just under $800. The only reason why I had this particular (and expensive) shop do them was because they work on tons of performance, classic and custom vehicles and they really know what they're doing. For this area I would say that they were about $150 over-priced, but I felt very comfortable with them and the gears haven't given me an ouce of trouble or noise.

Nice patch pic! Anyhow, I have a '01 CC Sport 6A and it will lay a good strip, provided you power-brake to get em spinning, get up to a good rev, then let 'er rip. Off the line? Unless it's wet, I can't get em to spin.

With my new tires (235/75/15) my truck won't even chirp from a stand still. It's hard to even get it to power brake now. But if I punch it on a corner it will spin both tires and get sideways(open diff). Anybody have 3.92's w/locker they want to sell?
