 Subject: side pannel prob

alright im trying to take off the side pannel on the door but the door handle is still attatched (i took the screw out in it) and the manual window crank is still connected, how do i detacth these? thanks, and does anyone know the stock size of the speakers in the door and how many watts? thanks

The door handle has a rod attached to the
back side of the panel that has to be removed.
It's the last thing to take off and first to reinstall.
The window crank is held on by a c clip that
needs to be pushed off the shaft . I have a flat
tool that removes these( I think older GM cars
also had this set up) but I' ve read that you can
push the clip off with a rag also. Do a search
and you'll find out exactly how others have
gotten the clip off.

OK if u lift up the door handle there is a screw there u have to take out. Behind the window crank is a c-clip u need a special tool from any automotive store to remove it. the stock speakers are 6 1/2's and as for the wattage i dont think they are much higher then 50 wtts, as they can bearly handle the wtts coming from my deck.

i used a coat hanger for window crank bent the end of hanger .... so it looks like a hook ....small very small hook ... hook the pin and pull i always did this and it works for me .. and yes i have had my door panels off many times.. so...... becareful not to pull to hard pin you shoot somwhere and you be left looking for days.... i did that also...

dj if u do lose that c clip and have a long mechanics magnet u can fish around for it, i have done that many times. good luck

I am having problems getting the door panel of the passenger side. Only the crank handle remains in tact. I can't find a way to get the handle off. My door doesn't close. The locking mechanism seems binded. Any solutions?

First off to get the door handle off just use a car audio pic or a window crank remover... you can get one at napa. Shoot me an email and I can give you my phone # to explain it easier. I can take mine off in about 1 1/2 minutes.
