 Subject: HO manifold for V6?

I just read the post where CW put the HO manifold from the V8Jeep in his Dak. Looked like a great mod, and only $110!! Is there anything similar for the Dak V6 from a different Chrysler product with the 3.9V6 in it? Always looking for cheap power!!

Sorry to say it...... there is no other Chrysler product currently offered (other than some of the older Ram trucks) that use the 3.9L Magnum motors (at least that I know of). All the Jeeps until the new 3.7L V6 used a 4.0 liter inline six (or Magnum 5.2L/5.9L V8 in Grand Cherokees), and previous to 1990 when they put the injected 4L in, they used a 4.2L dual-carb inline 6 (Wranglers), some V8's (older Grand Cherokees/Wagoneers) and also a 2.8L V6 (older Cherokees.

Andy: You can modify the factory intake (slightly) to gain a little bit more in the "useable" power range (2200-3500) but there is nothing available (yet) for the Magnum V6 in the way of an aftermarket intake manifold.

About the only manifold that I know of is from hughs and it is a modified stocker. http://www.hughesengines.com/www/hughesengines/

Bernd, your "(yet)", do you know of something in development?
If my aluminum weldin skills were a tad better I would have hacked up a mopar M1 for a V8 by now and tried to cut it down to a V6'er.

Want to do a Hughes-style manifold on your own?? Go to www.fast4x4.net and look under the how-to's section. Almost all of that stuff will help the V-6 manifold too.
