 Subject: 99 dodge dakota 16" rims

I currently have 15" rims on my Dakota, and I have
16" winter tires that i will be needing very
shortly. My question is, can I buy 16" rims and
use those? I know I need to find rims with a
6x114.3 bolt patter. I need to know whether there
will be enough room in the wheel well for the
bigger tires. Will the tires rub on any steering
components etc.

2001 and newer dakotas are 16 inchers. It depends
on the size of the tire, whats on the sidewall of
the tire? (225/70R16 etc?)whats the overall height
of the tires you want to put on? if you get any
taller than about 30inches tall your speedo will be
off.

Actually, I think they went with 16 inchers starting in 2003. My '02 still has 15s. I heard Dodge changed the brake caliper or something in '03.
