I have a 2006 dodge Dakota 4x4 with a V6, two
days ago I got in to leave work while entering
the freeway i accelerated going down the on
ramp gave me a hard shift up at about 45mph
didn't think much of it kept going got into traffic
and had to slow down to 35 mph or less when
I accelerated and got going 50-55 I noticed my
rpms where high so I push it to 65-70 and
notice its not shifting and my Rpms are hitting
around 5000 I have tried a lot of things I think I
need new tranny but want some opinions
before I take it in and it is a little fix

Have you thought of servicing the transmission? They do need
the fluid and filter changed every so often. Is the service
engine soon light on?
