Message:
I recently purchased a 1994 Dodge Dakota SLT Reg. Cab 4x4 with 3.9L engine. The ABS light stays on the instrument panel. From what I can tell, it has only the rear ABS system. I am aware of the ABS sensor in the rear differential and the ABS controller under the brake booster. Are there any other components involved in the setup?...if so, where would they be located? Any help resolving the issue would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You may want to check for a leak my 91 was doing
the same thing and I pulled my drums off of the
back and one was full of junk and my passenger rear
solenoid was leaking I replaced it not even
thinking it had anything to do with the ABS light
and it went away for good

good info. doesn't appear to be leaking any break fluid, nothing visible at least.

great info abjames28! after replacing the sensor at rear differential, I pulled the rear drums and the driver side brake cylinder was leaking. replaced the cylinder and did a brake job while they were off. brakes work great and dash light is out. problem solved. thanks!
