 Subject: problem with airflow settings working

I have a 2000 Dakota Sport Quad Cab, only 86,000 miles, and all
of the sudden I cannot get the airflow control to command/direct
heat, or air-conditioning directly into the cab of the vehicle. It will
blow on all settings from low to very high, very well. It just will not
direct the flow to anywhere but the floor, and or windshield
setting(s) . Does anyone have any suggestions for a remedy to this
situational dilemma which wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to get
this fixed?
