 Subject: 1998 Dodge dakota Won't Start

A few weeks ago my dodge dakota starting acting
funny. The gas gauge quit working and the spedo
would read like 30 when we were at a stop light.
So I jump in it to go to work and about 5 miles
from home it dies. We thought it was the fuel
pump. We had just replaced it in the summer of
2012. So we went and got a new fuel pump put it on
and now nothing. IT wont fire no fuel at the
relief valve on the fuel rail on the top of the
engine. IT don't sound like the fuel pump is
kicking on. Any idea as to how to get the fuel
pump to kick on.

could be a couple of things. First I would check for codes, then if nothing comes up check the "Fuel Pump Relay" that could be bad and not let the pump work. A bad ground could also be the problem.
