i've never really taken the time to look but does my 2001 sixer have a third cat? i keep on hearing about the v-8 guys takin thiers out, and i wouldnt mind my exaust sounding better as well as picking up a little top end, so does anyone know???

MY V6 has 3 cats 2 pre and one after the Y
I think I have read that it has to do with the Emissions pkg that the truck came with, as to how many it has.
As for sound I like mine a little quiter I had a 14" DynoMax at first, to buzzzzzy changed to a 20" and got a nice rumble also could tell a differance in low end TQ with the 20"....Better than the 14"

would anyone recomend takin the third one out? I just ordered some JBA headers and if it is a good idea I'll have my guy do it upon the header install.
