Hi guys and gals. i have a 88 4x4 with the v6 and
every time i start her up she will run like crap
till she warms up she will stall or almost stall
with little gas applied. then once shes warm she
will be fine unless you try to floor it. then she
bogs and stalls or bogs then kicks in. any ideas?
88 le with 190000. tried getting plugs out but
kinda in there good but i think it might be in my
dist. i replaced tps and still nothing. oil
pressure gauge doesnt move at all off or on and
temp gauge buried to cold side.

why don't you just scrap your pos and get a newer dakota built in this century. thats the solution.

I also had trouble getting the plugs out of my 3.9, had to use a breaker bar on a couple but still doesnt mean you cant mess up the threads.
I would start by checking all your vacum lines then check the timing.

a subaru would be a better investment indeed. and less problems to deal with. you should get a couple hundred dollars trade in value for your 88.
