 Subject: bad fan clutch??

A/C doesn't blow cold when idling and truck overheats when idling
as well. Driving around car stays at normal temp and a/c is fine.
When cold, fan doesn't free spin, but it offers VERY little resistance.
Tried moving it back and forth and it doesn't have excessive play
either. Any ideas?

If you have the electric fan also, make sure it is
operating properly. My '00 has both a mechanical and
electric fan.
