Just curious on what you guys think. I'm here from the chevy forum. Not trying to start sh!t. But i was wondering what you guys think about the 3.9l in the daks. Is ita good power plants and what mods can make those motors come alive.I'm in the need of a new truck and heard some good stuff about the daks. Right now i have a 2001 4cyl s10 with 33's and some other mods. It's pretty quick and I love it, but it has alot of miles. close to 220,000 or so. i have about 5 grand and I was looking at a 1994 dak quad cab 4x4. It's all stock and has about 100,000 miles. What do you guys think? Is it worth it? im going to lift it a bit and maybe do some mods. Can you guys tell me what mods i have to do and if its a good idea? I need 4x4 for my new job and i figure the v6 gets great mpg for what its worth right? Let me know asap pleas!!!!Much appreciated!!

Larry

The mods are a waste of money! The dakota is a good truck if the previous owner took care of it!

Get the oil change records if you can as it is the most important thing that must be done every 3-4 thousand miles.

The 3.9 is excellent motor, 3,500 is high for a 94, offer him 3,000, when he says no go a little higher.

The intake manifold is not a very hard job, but yes you could run in to this problem.

For the most part the Dakota is very easy to work on.
