I just bought a 95 Dak CC 3.9 auto with a few questionable issues. I apologize now if this seems
like an essay. The first is my fuel gauge and
coolant temp gauge are not moving. Is this most
likely a problem with the cluster or the sensors?

Second, the truck had been sitting for a bit
before I bought it. As expected it has a lumpy
idle but it runs fine on city/rural roads, but on
the highway it is severely hesitant to move. I
know it needs a tune up and plan on putting in
full syn in. I noticed that it has a single
exhaust with dual tips on the pass side. one of
the ports does Not have any exhaust coming out.
Could this be some of the problem? And is there
anyway to cheaply and easily free up some power
without a V8?

And last, does anyone know what refrigerate to
use? I know by 95 Ford and Chevy were using R134a?

Thanks and sorry again for the essay.

easy power mods-
-install v8 throttle body
-new air filter if old one is dirty
-higher ratio rocker arms

All vehicles manufactured '93 and up use R134A

A good and complete tune up is in order.
Plugs, cap, Rotor and wires then put a bottle of
complete fuel system cleaner with a fill up.
(new air filter also)
Yes it's r134a

Fuel float could be stuck/gummed up.
(fuel system cleaner might help)
Could also be the sending unit, might also be the
same for the engine temp but from sitting I would
suggest checking the wire to the temp sending
unit.
