 Subject: Code p0301 in a 2000 3.9

I know the code is misfire in cylinder #1. I had
the same thing about 3 years ago and it was just a
bad spark plug. I changed the plugs and plug wires
about a 8 months ago and just changed the plugs
again tonight. I am still having the the misfire
problem. The truck has a hard time starting up and
running until it runs a little bit after which I
can still fill it misfire. Any ideas as to what
it could be besides plugs and plug wires? I would
like to get this fixed as soon as possible I just
got it back running good after 2 years of a bad
TPS because the first one I put on it was
apparently bad. Thanks in advance.

Have you changed the cap and rotor? Plugs and wires are only half of the story.

I'd check the plug wires again as well. the last set I put on only lasted 8 months.
