Message: I was wondering if you could change the power steering fluid to a non ATF+4 Fluid without hurting the seals in the rack and pinion? I just changed the fluid to STP powersteering fluid and it quieted down the rams for the rack. It is not screaming at me anymore. The fluid had never been changed since I baught the truck new 9 years ago. Oh and there is no leak either.
