Ok the bearing in my alternator is going bad. So I've got a little bit of time to save up some money to get a new alternator.

My question is should I get a 90 amp alternator or a 120 amp one?

I don't have any heavy appliance stuff and I dont tow much either. I have an aftermarket cd player and speakers but no amplifier.

I tried looking at the old alternator to see what it is but the sticker is missing.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

If you don't see a need in the future for the 120 amp stick with the stock replacement. If you're lucky, you can find a starter/ alternator repair shop near you that could just change that bearing out if that is all it needs. that would be much cheaper than replacing the whole alternator.
