My Dak didnt pass smog. ugh. its a 1997 3.9 4x4, just put in a rebuilt engine 220 miles ago. Has the 5.0 motorsports injectors, harlan-sharp 1.7 rockers, K&N intake, MSD ignition. Aside from the engine, I changed the coil (MSD), plugs (gaped at .045)cap, rotor, crank and cam position sensors and both oxygen sensors. The injectors have been in there for 7 years or so, I'm thinking that may be the problem perhaps. All the sensors I changed are OEM.....
Anybody have any ideas ??
Thanks.

Forgot to mention that.. No codes either ! Had a P1391 (camshaft position sensor) when I first got it fired but a new sensor and the proper synch cured that.

Any exhaust leaks before the catcon? If so fix those first. Then check the MAP sensor. And check for vacuum leaks. Could be leaky injectors. Do you have a hard time starting it after it sits for a while?

Starts just fine after sitting for a while. I'm going to check again for vacuum leaks as well as check the MAP sensor and put the stock injectors back in.

Thanks for the replies daddio
