so you're sayin with those mods on your sixer you "lit your tires up" when you were goin 55mph. c'mon now even a chirp would be alot for 55mph, im not tryin to rag on ya but you have one SICK v-6 if your doin that on DRY pavement

No way in hell you lit the tires at 55. Ive got
nitrous and many more mods than you say
you have and I have the 3.92 gears and i
would have to say I would have trouble
breaking them loose like that at 55. Im sorry
but there is no way. You are sayin gthat the
IAT relocation did that much? The IAT adjuster
only shows 8 hp gain (yes im running that
also). Like i said, no way.

but guys... he didnt say what size tires he has. With the stock size tires i never had traction at any speed.
now with my 255/60/15s i would hit the 100 shot of nitrous and the tires wouldnt spin at 55.... may at 35 though.

I think you must have tires that have poor traction rateing like touring tires. I am not buying the tire chirp at 55. The first time I ever spun tire going 75 down the HWY was when my uncle let me drive his Corvette with a Yenko preped 427! It scared the H#ll out my seeing how I was only 15 and did not have a liscense yet. I was pokeing along at at 45 and he told me "you can go faster" so I cranked it up 75. He looked at me and said "don't be afraid of it open her up, floor it". I floored and both realy wide tires lit up grabbed and we were gone. It slamed my 145lb body into the seat. He told me to get off it at 150. I loved even though I was scared sh%tless of crashing his new toy. It takes alot more torq. then you trucks got to do that unless your traction is just awful.

You know, I never actually wasted time to look down at the speedo, but under WOT accelleration I can get a pretty good kick sideways and 'squawk' from the rear tires going into third... surprised the heck out of me, and the guy next to me. :0)

No offence guys but you must have zero traction because I have yet to chirp them going into third. On pavment that is above 32°F.

I have only gotten them to chirp once in first taking off from a light. Now, with a little power braking I got the outside tire(bald one) to start spining and then I turn left onto another road. The inside tire broke loose and the mother f#@ker got sideways! I almost lost it. Scared me to death, my buddy was with me, he loved it. I had an adreneline rush for about 5 miles after that.

Ok this is how I cherped them at 45mph, I started off in second gear and kept riding 2nd and let off the gas and then floored it and thats how i did it, just be sure to change the gear quickly. Ive done this alot on my street in the past, I havent done it in while though.

Well, I'm in Florida so it's about 90F here now... :0/

I get pretty good traction, but I don't suspect it's that great. I generally don't have more than half a tank (and it's a mid-mount side-saddle) of fuel, and usually not much in the bed.

Like I said, it used to be squawkable before the JET II, Ignition, and HURST, but not much more than a chirp. I can get a nice one now, but it's not exactly something I can do without meaning too. It basically involves keeping the engine above 3200 RPM and dumping the clutch as it is shoved into third. I don't normally like to do it, since I'm -trying- to make these tires last... (Choice: Tires or food? Answer: Food)

Think that was the breaks you were hitting at 55 or a big grease spot.........That's all good though....I catch really big fish on a regular basis.
Stick to the story---It sounds cool.
