I now know what is wrong with my truck. now she just dies and when I smack the computer on the pass. side wheel well it starts. when running, I smack it again, it dies. anyone with a computer for me, please call me I live in Arizona. 602-400-0774 thank you all for your input during this nightmare. acually someone told me to smack the computer, so I did and she dies. I'll give it a try, perhaps if I put in v6 instead of v8. I found one at the wrecking yard for a 4 cyl., otherwise the other three(v6) already had the comp. gone. I think this tells me something. I know checker has rebuilt ones for $200.00, then I have to find someone to flash it. thanx daddio and yea. You two seem to always be there for us.

hey guys, I just saw a deal on performance, below general board, where a guy is putting in a v-8 over a v-6. some guy said just add the wires for inj. 7 and 8. Is this possible, and if so, can I use the 95 4 cyl. computer(which looks exactly the same as my 92 pins and all) and add # 5 and 6 inj wires? or am I getting way off base

Your best bet would be to find a reman unit for the v6. The 4 cyl PCM won't have the right fuel or timing curves for the v6. They did make a performance PCM for the V6 at one time.
Are you sure it's the PCM? It's not often that they go bad.

dadio, I am possitive it is the pcm. I had taken it completely out of the box, tap on the board and Bam, she dies. Tap, not hammer. I have to agree with you about a reman. I am looking into it today at the parts stores. BTW, I used to call my Father Daddio.
