Ok crew, here is my plan. I have five hundred bucks so I will fix or replace the parts that everyone else has had issues with or is past due, such as timing chain ect. I am getting a timing chain (at a past due 150,000 miles on the motor)a chain tensioner, intake gasket set, new vacum lines to replace dry, cracked ones that will probly get destroyed upon removal. Bottom line is, this weekend I WILL fix the truck. So today I shop, tomorrow I work, and sunday I purr like a Kitten

Lenny you jump around too much and make too many
posts to get any decent help. Stay focused on this
one now. Some questions for you, How do you know Cyl
#5 is missing? No spark? Got a code?

Give me more info.

started with pulling #5 plug wire, no change in rpm's pull any other plug wire, it drops in rpm's. I got a good spark. then I pull injecter wire, no change, pull another inj. wire and the rpm drops. I got a good voltage to the injecter and pulse width. even switched injecters. still #5 dies when it wants, hot or cold.
