Went for a boat ride last week and as I was
walking up to shore I seen something hanging
down.
WOW the rear gas tank strap fell off rusted out
LOL
So any way if anyone needs straps Auto Zone does
have them $37.97 for the pair tax included
Just wanted everyone to know they are avalible
for our daks. its not a very nice feeling driving
and thinking that your gas tank can fall out at
any moment LOL Its a scarry feeling LOL

Larry, that's good to know, when I was in Iraq, my wife had the fuel pump changed out and they said the straps were bad and replaced them at that time, which is what I would have done had I changed it out myself.

196,000 miles, with reman engine (I did the engine myself, not the machine work just the tear down and rebuild) going strong. 25,000 on the engine.

Hey Larry how bout this one back in my teen years was with my Uncle with his 78' Grand Marquis taking me to the mall and gas tank strap let go on freeway lucky us didn't catch fire from sparking didn't go through the metal tank we just had filled up all 26 + gallons what fire that been if caught???
