My '03 Dakota is having trouble starting up. My father has determined that I'm not getting any fuel to the tank.
What problems could cause this?

We have checked the ASD, but we don't know if it's damaged or not.
As suddenly as it had stopped working, however, We believe it is an electric malfunction. I was driving it earlier today.
We're definitely getting spark, it starts up for a second with starter fluid.

We managed to fix it, and I thought the fix was so unique, I decided I should share it with you guys.
If you knock on the bottom of the fuel tank, enough to jostle the fuel pump a little, while at the same time, having someone else try and start the vehicle, then it will probably start right up.
It worked for me.

Replace your fuel pump as soon as possible!!
Drain it and drop it and replace. With two people it goes pretty quick.
After 30,000 miles mine went out on my 04, having a cheap device in the tank was a pretty stupid idea. They should have at least left it external.

I replaced fuel pump in my old 95 by removing the bed.
dropped spare tire, unscrewed fuel filler, disconnected lights, unbolted bed.
