Got a 99 dak. 4wd v6. Hi all
I have a question, trying to stop this spuudder
that comes and goes. only happens once in a while
when I leave the red light. 1.. code came up P135
02 heat ctk . Advance told me it was an updtream
o2 sensor.
? were is that and how many 02 do I have . i
have replaced the one before the cat and after the
cat.
2. will the 02sen be the reason for the
spuddering?
3. ? Do the front wheel bearings come as a
replacement part? or is it one piece
hub/whbearing?
4.I cant find the official dealer recall about the
ball joints. I thought it would be pinned here
somewhere but no pinned section.

I have so far installed " plugs, cap rotor, wires,
calipers , rotors, brkes, front pipe,

Honestly I wrote it on a match book. But thats after I read the
code reader from the scanner. I borrowed from Advance Auto.
And the guy opened a Hayes Book and told me it was the o2
upstream. I installed both 02's about 2 weeks ago, and had no
problem. But I installed the bare 4 lead ones. Spliced it myself
with crimplers. I will check to see if one of the connections came
loose. Found it on
dakota-truck.net
Code Description
P0135 Upstream oxygen sensor heating element circuit
malfunction. **

2 questions .
1. Should I have posted each issue separately?

2. Can this o2 cause spuddering once I idle for a while then take
off from the light?

Dealer told me the wheel bearings come as one piece w/hub
assembly.

also I have a burnt out Cat.... sounds like a golfball bouncing
around in there. Other post have said that bad cats dont matter as
far as that spuddering.

Runs like a dream on the highway!

Thxks

#1 P0135 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) O2 sensor in front of the cat should probably be chnaged. If your cat is making noise you should probably change that also.

#2 Yes the O2 can cause that stumbling.

#3 You can buy just the bearings but, NOT from a dealer or your run of the mill A/Z or O'reilly. You'll have to go to someone who knows bearings, match the factory bearing, than have the old one pressed out and the new one pressed in.

#4 Call your local dealer or go downm there with your VIN and they can tell you if your truck falls under the recall and if the repair has been performd on it or not by a dealer. The factory has to keep records of that and the dealer can find that out for you.

I think that covers all you've asked so far.
