I have a 2002 dodge dakota
when the truck is first started and you drive it for a mile or 2 the trans go into limp mode but when you turn off the truck and wait a min or 2 and start back up and take off it shifts fine after that. It seems to only run bad when trans is cold. Got the code p0748 and replaced both synoilds in trans but still have the problem.
Need help

I think in 1995 you still had the A500 transmission, a.k.a. the 42RH, and shifting into R and 1-2-3 is hydraulic only. Solenoids are for O/D and lockup only on that tranny. So you probably have more serious trouble.

Enough. If u wanna be a douche go somewhere else. Bob, thanks for the info. When it doesnt want to go into reverse i can feel and hear it doing something. Slipping probably. It's really not worth rebuilding it for 1200 bucks when the trucks only worth about a grand
