 Subject: Age old question V6 vs V8

Its finally time to rebuild/replace my 3.9l. Was wondering if a V8 would bolt up to my manual tranny. Also whats the weight differance between a V6 & V8, trying to keep the weight down for cutlines during hunting season. Not complaining about my 3.9l just looking a options.

If your still looking at this for a reply i looked through it years ago and was TOLD that yes it would bolt up to the V8 but only the 5.2 and 5.9. As for the manual transmission handling it i couldnt tell you. You can always do a quick google to find that out but i know that people who bolted up the 42re automatic had them die fairly quickly behind the V8s.

Trans would be ok , just drive normal
not drag race.. It is the same anyway..
