As i wrote before about my idle problen, how after a few minutes of idleling or a couple of miles driving the truck idle would go down to almost stall, but after a couple of racing of the accelerator it resume back to normale state. Yesterday when it was acting up while in a parking I move it to neutral position and the idle went up for about 4-6 seconds and go back down again then back to park idle went up for the same time and again to low untill I race it and back to normal.? Any HELP on this problem A fustrated Dakota guy. Thanks for looking.. JD.

TPS throttle position sensor
drivers side of throttle body
check volts normal key on engine off center wire
and ground .5 to .7 and should always return to
same low volts when opening and closing throttle
if not replace

or

IAC idle air control sol
back of TB remove clean with brake or carb clean
do not push pull or twist on plunger also clean
hole a little oil on o-ring and reinstall if this
does not cure it replace

A word of warning get the IAC from the dealer
a lot of the after market IAC's do not work right
the TPS you can pickup anywhere
