Just thought i would post a little about my Dakota. It is a 1993. i bought it last year and it had a rotten frame, like thats unusual for these. Thought i would be able to fix, but when i took it off the frame , i saw it was to rusted to fix, found a 96 with a good frame, but the books said it would not fit, wrong it did fit. Installed a 95 Dodge steering column and installed new clockspring, sensors and i dual exhaust system, it is a little louder than i expected. I love this truck, it goes everywere and runs sweet.

Good for you Andrew, ya always gotta love it when someone bucks the system and makes it work. If you want it to work....Make it happen. I hope it runs great for many years for you.

Actually the right side of the truck was the worst, from the cab back. The worst was on the right side in front of the rear wheels, where the springs attach to frame.

Man, do you guys all live in the rust belt or something? the only vehicles I've seen rusted like that were driven on the coast in the saltwater on a daily basis. I'm glad we don't worry about that kind of crap down here.

Yeah i havent had to deal with rust since i left Michigan in 85, lots of rotted wheel wells up there and the nice cars stayed in the garage for the winter. Here in San Diego.....there is no winter, we get freaked out when it drops into the low 60s during the day.
