Yes, pull the fuel pump relay and crank away with the timing light hooked up. I think it should 10BTDC but, check your manual to make sure.

Ya you can. Go to your local auto parts store and pick one up. They will know exactly what you need.

The reason I asked that was because of the injector sync.

Well i think im getting closer.
unpluged both upstream o2 sensors
reset pcm
engine ran smooth for about 20 min maybe not even that long but finally got a distinct odor coming from my exhaust.
so i cut the muffler loose from the main cat
truck began running smoothly
the cats are still in the exhaust i just dropped muffler out
so is cutting out the cat necesary a friend mentioned something about rodding it out, but hes in the used car business and likes to make em look untouched. maybe ill take one of these long paddle bits i got to it. i really dont wanna drop the transmision mount to cut it out.

What year truck is this? How many miles? Was #5 plug black with soot/ carbon or oil? Getting rid of your third cat did nothing. Did you change the PCM or is it original to the truck/ engine?

2002 this is the original pcm 180,000 miles
plug 5 was sooty and black
seems 1,3,5 is running lean now and 2,4,6 are now sooty always wet.2 is the better looking of the right bank.
5 was doin the same but not anymore
maybe the problem followed the injectors afterall
truck does idle better without the 3rd cat.

ok ive been reading up on my issue more. The only constant code i am getting no matter what i do is code p-0132
chiltons list 2 possible causes.
1.excessive fuel pressure
2 leaky injectors or stuck injectors
Now it appears that the rich running has followed the injectors from 1,3,5 to 2,4,6
Now in a different section it list other possible symptoms
■O2 signal tracking (wet/oily) in connector causing a short between the signal and heater power circuits

■O2 ground circuit is open

■O2 signal circuit is open

■PCM has failed
still appears that that o2 sensor or the wiring is bad as the 2,4,6 bank is running rich with the 1,3,5 injectors also leading to either 1 or all bad injectors. all injectors read 14.1 ohm, but one upon powering did have a distinct difference in sound than the other 5. this was a power up of the solenoid to test for leaks. no injectors showed any sign of leaks under the pressure of the fuel pump, but as the pump does not stay running with the key on there is no way for me to know without having them evaluated by a qualified shop. of course IMHO they will work differently under the vaccum of the engine, and may leak in that environment.
