Hey everyone, i bought a 2001 dak, 2 wheel drive,
with the 3.9. the only mod done to it is a
flowmaster muffler. recently it hasnt wanted to
idle, when i am on the gas at all it runs like a
top, but when i try to let it idle it dies, most of
the time, sometimes it will idle, but its very rare.
im thinking it could be the IAC, but i cant seem to
find it..and ideas would be great, thanks, tyler

The IAC is located on the back of the TB. It's mounted to the TB with 2 torx screws. Do not push or twist the plunger and don't lose the o-ring.

i had the same problems with my 01 sport 4x4, when id start it it would not idle but if i gave it some gas it ran perfect and as soon as i let off it died... i called a mechanic over and he said the computer "cleared" it self so he quickly reset it and it ran fine for months then happened again and he said to replace my TPS (throtle possitioning sensor) cost $100-115 took me literally 4 minutes with a screwdriver and it hasnt let me down since. just a warning sometime the computer clears its self with the replcement not all the time just sometimes.

That is expensive for a TPS sensor. About $40 at AutoZone.
