 Subject: 95 Dakota 4X4 3.9 Removal

I am pulling the motor out of a 95 Dakota 4X4 with a 3.9L. Do the plates the bolt between the engine block, bell housing, and front diff. need to be removed before the engine comes out? Any help would be a great help?

i removed my V6 three times!!
third time was the charm....
after i dropped the y-pipe, i removed the exhaust manifolds.
you get to see all the god dam bolts! and that starter comes out
super quick!!
and yes, those brackets gotta come off, but support the front
differential before you remove those brackets or the diff will slip
down a bit, it may give you problems when lining up the holes on
reinstallation.
