 Subject: Rebuilt trans after 285.000 miles

I finally had the tranny rebuilt after 285K. I lost it when going up a hill, but I was able to turn around and drive it on a flat road to the tranny shop. The owner of the shop showed me the old parts and said I got my money's worth on the old one. He couldn't believe that my '98 Dakota 4x4 V6 got so far. I told him I just changed the fluid and filter once a year with just the regular fluids.

I have seen the 42's go over 500,000 miles
I have 130,000 miles on mine and it will still
cherp the tires and it shifts great
