I have a 2000 dodge dokota that keeps popping up that the cam shaft posioning sensor is messing up. It is a v-6. Can anyone tell me where that is at. Help please.

remove dist cap and rotor, its the plate below
the cap it just pops off and unplug to remove
note location of sides one is round 1 is square
just set new one in plug in replace cap and rotor
and tighten and its replaced
very easy to do
what this does is tell the injectors when to
pulse or known as injector sync

1989 Dodge Dakota V6 Started to skip and pops back through carb when put in reverse. Replaced all plugs and Dist cap. Can pull plug wire off #1 and # 3 plug on drivers side and it does not affect motor, no power cranks great, have firing order but do not know where #1 is on the cap as someone else relaced cap. Does this model have a module in the dist and could that be the problem.
