I just got done cleaning the old gaskets off the dakota but as i was looking at the new waterpump i noticed the threaded piece that came with it and cant figure out how to tighten it down on the new pump. Do i need a special tool or will a set of visegrips do the job. I looks like it has some sort of sealant already on it that's greenish blue. the piece sort of looks like a castle nut but with only 2 slots? Any help would be great! thanks

Hi,
I know what your talking about, that piece should have a slot in it where you could just use a flat headed screw driver to thread it in.
