Hey all. I think my A/C clutch is wearing out. it is making a whining noise sometimes at low RPM. At least I think that is where it is coming from. It is hard to tell with the sound of the engine and fans. Anyway, I was wondering if a Clutch from a 4.7 would work on the 3.9? I know the 5.9 clutch will. Is there any way to tell if the clutch is starting to go?.

If they are the same brand and model of compressor they should fit. You could be hearing the bearings which usually go before the clutch goes.
