My Boyds arrived today! They are unbelievably beautiful, they should come in jeweler's boxes.
I can't say enough about how great it was to do business with Warren Aldous, the boyd rep. A gentleman to deal with, and I could not possibly be happier with the product.

Right on. I have a friend who just put on Boyds on his Chevy truck. Really nice wheels. Hey, was wondering. Have you put a shift kit on your Dak? Was thinking of one myself but not totally sold on the idea. Greg

No, I have been hearing a lot about them lately, but aren't they just for sticks? I'm auto.

Congrats Lesley!

Shift Kits are for Automatics, short-throw shifters are for sticks. :0) A Shift Kit is going to seriously firm up your shifts, but I don't know too much about what it entails on a Dodge Dakota. I know my old Chevy 1/2ton, when we had the tranny rebuilt, they put different bands in it and bored out the fluid pathways to firm it up, as well as a few other things.

NJQCDak: I don't know!! It will be a couple of weeks before I can afford tires. There is a really good tire and rim place about 45 min. from here, I'm going to go and talk to them. I really like Nittos but they might cost a bomb up here, everything else does. Boyds were my first choice of rims, and American Racing Thrusters were my second - but they were over $550 ea. here.
